ELIZABETHTOWN – Eleven different Elizabethtown players scored Monday as the Cougars defeated East Arcadia 47-24 in Bladen Five Middle School Conference boys basketball action.

Guard JaQuez McKoy drained a 3-point shot and a 2-point shot, and Ra’Sean McKoy worked inside for 2 baskets and a free throw as the Cougars raced to a 14-3 first quarter lead. Lefrederick Wooten threw in 2 more Cougar baskets in the period.

Cody Long bombed in a 3-point shot for the only Panther points in the first period. Teammate Kari Price fired in a trio of 3-point shots, a 2-point basket and a free throw in the second quarter. Roderick Grainger pumped in a basket as the Panther closed the gap to 24-17.

Raymond Autry tossed in a pair or baskets, and center Javant McDowell, Zach Meares and Brady Hollingsworth added a basket each to keep the Cougars on top at halftime.

Marvin McKiver and Ryan Yandle drilled in a pair of 3-point shots in the third quarter, and McDowell dropped in a basket as the Elizabethtown lead grew to 32-20. Grainger buried a 3-point shot for the only Panther points in the period.

Ahmad Powell nailed a 3-point shot and a 2-point shot in the final period. Ra’Sean McKoy and Raymond Autry netted a basket and a free throw each in the quarter, and Lefrederick Wooten and Malcolm Bolden chipped in with a basket each.

Grainger and Emanuel Lewis scored a basket each for East Arcadia in the fourth quarter.

Ra’Sean McKoy led the Cougars with 8 points, and Raymond Autry followed with 7 points. Lefrederick Wooten finished with 6 points, and JaQuez McKoy totaled 5 points. McDowell scored 4 points.

Price topped all scorers with 12 points for East Arcadia, and Grainger finished with 7 points.
