NAKINA – Kendell Lesane worked the paint for 19 points Thursday night to lead Bladenboro’s Bulldogs to a 41-23 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ basketball victory over Nakina.

Kendell Lesane powered in 3 baskets in the opening period. Teammate Ashton Davis added a basket, and Jaquan Lesane netted a free throw as the Bulldogs edged in front 9-6.

Jaquan Lesane bombed in a pair of 3-point shots in the 2nd quarter, and Blake Britt buried another Bulldog 3-ball. Keonta Hill and Kendell Lesane pumped in a basket each as the lead grew to 22-13 at halftime.

Kendell Lesane took charge in the 3rd period dropping in 3 more baskets. Britt and Sincere McKinley popped in baskets to stretch the Bladenboro lead to 32-18.

Two baskets and a free throw from Kendell Lesane highlighted the final quarter scoring. John McDowell and Brayden Steele rang up a basket each for the winners.

Jaquan Lesane finished with 7 points for Bladenboro. Britt followed with 5 points.

Coach Joe Gore’s Bulldogs improved to 2-0 in league play and 5-0 overall and will host Clarkton School of Discovery Thursday.
