TABOR CITY- Kendell Lesane and Ashton Davis keyed a 16-3 closing run that rallied Bladenboro to a 41-34 Waccamaw Middle School Conference ‘A’ Division boys’ basketball victory over Tabor City Tuesday night.

The Eagles carried a 31-25 lead into the final period, but Kendell Lesane powered in a trio of baskets, and Davis pumped in 2 baskets and a free throw. Teammate Keonta Hill drained a 3-point shot and 2 free throws in the quarter.

Kendell Lesane sparked the Bulldog attack with 12 points, and Davis was right behind him with 11 points. Hill finished with 7 points for the winners, and Jaquan Lesane followed with 6 points.

Khalil Morgan poured in 18 points for Tabor City in the first 3 periods, but was held to a single 3-point basket in the final quarter. Morgan topped all scorers with 21 points.

Jaquan Lesane fired in a 3-point shot in the opening quarter, and Davis, Hill and Kendell Lesane tossed in baskets to keep the Bulldogs tied 9-9. Kendell Lesane muscled in a pair of baskets in the 2nd period, Jaquan Lesane buried a 3-point shot, and Davis added a basket to keep the score knotted at 18-18.

Sayvion Covington bombed in a 3-point shot for the Bulldogs in the 3rd quarter. Davis and Sincere McKinley threw in a basket each.

Coach Joe Gore’s Bulldogs remained unbeaten at 4-0 in ‘A’ Division play and 7-0 overall. Bladenboro will travel to Williams Township Wednesday.
