BLADENBORO — Bladenboro rode a balanced attack to a 50-16 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ basketball victory over Tabor City Monday night.

Sincere McKinley pumped in 14 points to lead the Bulldog scoring. Jace Lesane fired in 12 points, and Isaiah Minus tossed in 11 points. Gaston Russ added 8 points for the winners. Thompson led the Eagles with 11 points, and Phillips tallied 5 points.

Minus drained a 3-point shot and another basket, and Lesane threw in 2 baskets to spark the Bulldogs to an early 16-4 lead. McKinley powered in a 3-point play, Corben Chadwick sank 2 free throws, and Brooks Carroll popped in a basket during the run.

McKinley dropped in 2 baskets in the 2nd period. Lesane and Gaston Russ banged in a basket each, and Devan Stanley cashed in a free throw as the Bladenboro lead grew to 25-13.

McKinley lit up the scoreboard with 3 baskets and a free throw in the 3rd quarter. Minus blistered the nets with a trio of baskets. Lesane chipped in with a pair of baskets, and Russ netted a basket and a free throw as the Bulldogs rode a 20-3 blitz to a 45-16 lead.

Russ closed out the Bladenboro scoring with a basket and a free throw in the final period, and Lesane tacked on another basket.

Bladenboro, now 2-3, will host East Columbus Tuesday. Tabor City will host Williams Township Tuesday.
