FAYETTEVILLE – Jayden Hamer and Joshua Kimmer keyed a 15-3 3rd quarter run that carried Fayetteville Christian to a 29-23 non-conference middle school boys basketball victory over Emereau Bladen Thursday night.
Jamari Adams Peterson popped in a pair of baskets, and Debo Lewis added a bucket as the Aviators took an early 6-4 lead. Peterson and Lewis dropped in baskets in the 2nd period to keep Emereau on top 10-9 at halftime.
Hamer bombed in a pair of 3-point baskets, and Kimmer threw in a 3-ball and another basket to key the 15-3 spurt that vaulted the Warriors in front 24-13 at the 3rd quarter break.
Peterson rallied the Aviators with a 3-ball and another basket in the final period. Brice Scott nailed a 3-point shot, and Lewis tossed in a basket.
Peterson topped all scorers with 12 points and Lewis finished with 8 points for the Aviators. Hamer led Fayetteville Christian with 11 points, and Tracy Dixon added 8.
Emereau Bladen will travel to Harrells Christian Monday.
