FAYETTEVILLE – Fayetteville Christian rode an 8-1 3rd quarter spurt to a 22-14 non-conference middle school girls’ basketball victory over Emereau Bladen Thursday.
Tatum Allen and Vera Valentiner threw in baskets in the 2nd period to keep the Lady Aviators within 7-4 at halftime. Allen and Jenna Brice buried 3-point shots in the final quarter, and Taylor Dowless sank 3 free throws.
Allen led the Emereau scoring with 6 points. Ella Townsend took scoring honors for Fayetteville Christian with 7 points, and teammates Natalie Johnson and Shelby Newman added 6 points each.
The Lady Aviators will travel to Harrells Christian Monday.
