WHITEVILLE – Demetrius Williams and Demarius Williams scored 12 points each to lead Williams Township to a 44-27 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys basketball victory over Elizabethtown Monday.
DeJohn Lesane threw in a pair of first period baskets, and Dominick Collins sank 2 free throws to keep Elizabethtown within 11-6 at the first quarter break.
Jaylin Simmons nailed a 3-point shot, Darius Williamson sank 2 free throws and a basket, and Collins tossed in a basket to keep the Cougars within 21-15 at halftime.
Lesane dropped in a basket and a free throw in the third quarter, and Williamson popped in a basket. Williamson and AaQuan Cotton added fourth period baskets, and Simmons, Conner Monroe and Kewone Maynor netted a free throw each.
Williamson led the Cougars with 8 points, and Lesane followed with 7 points. Collins and Simmons finished with 4 points each.
Elizabethtown, now 1-3 in AA Division play and 1-4 overall, will host West Columbus Thursday.
