LAKE WACCAMAW – Davion Whittington and Levi Garcia scored goals for Tar Heel Tuesday as the Panthers defeated East Columbus 3-0 in Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ soccer action.
An ‘own’ goal by East Columbus gave the Panthers a 1-0 halftime lead. Whittington padded the lead to 2-0 with a 2nd half goal, and Garcia tacked on the final goal with about 5 minutes left to play.
Dylan McLaurin recorded the shutout in goal for Tar Heel and was credited with 4 saves.
Coach Brett Jackson’s Panthers improved to 4-1 and will travel to Nakina Thursday.
