HALLSBORO – Hallsboro defeated Elizabethtown 14-8 on Tuesday night in Waccamaw Middle School Conference football action.

Deion McDowell circled left end and sprinted 47 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. Jayden Pridgen bulled through the line for the 2-point conversion and an 8-0 Cougar lead.

Hallsboro rallied to tie the game 8-8 at halftime and took the lead with a third quarter touchdown. A late Elizabethtown drive ran out of time at the Tiger 25-yard line.

The Cougars will host West Columbus on Tuesday night.
