CERRO GORDO – West Columbus tacked on a touchdown in the closing seconds to secure a 24-14 Waccamaw Middle School Conference football victory over Bladenboro.

West Columbus led 8-0 at halftime and 16-14 with 38 seconds left to play before putting the game away with the late score and 2-point conversion.

Jameel McKiver dashed 30 yards for the 1st Bulldog touchdown, and Sincere McKinley ran the 2-point conversion. McKiver later intercepted a Warrior pass and raced to the end zone on the return for another Bladenboro touchdown.

The Bulldogs, now 1-2, will travel to East Columbus Tuesday. West Columbus, now 2-1, will visit Tar Heel Tuesday.
