BLADENBORO — DeAisa Johnson blistered the nets with 29 points Thursday to lead Tabor City to a 35-9 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ basketball victory over Tar Heel.

The Lady Panthers, now 0-8, will play Williams Township Monday. Tabor City, the Waccamaw’s ‘A’ Division champions, improved to 4-0 in the division and 6-4 overall. Tabor City will visit West Columbus Tuesday.

DeAisa Johnson pounded the nets with 12 baskets and 5 free throws. She scored 16 of the Eagles’ 18 points in the 1st half. Teammate Aniya Davis added 4 points.

Serenity Council and Genesis Fernanta-Villafuerte tossed in 1st half baskets for Tar Heel. Abigail Dew drained a pair of 2nd half baskets and sank a free throw to lead the Lady Panthers with 5 points.
