BLADENBORO – Nakina held off Bladenboro and captured a 2-1 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls soccer victory Thursday.
The Lady Bulldogs had a chance to tie the game on a penalty kick as time ran out, but could not convert. Ashley Rivon fired in the Bladenboro goal.
“For the amount of real practice that we have had we did Ok,” said Bladenboro Coach Otis Evans. “We have been in both games even though we have fallen short. Nakina’s back line (fullbacks) played well.”
Bladenboro will host Clarkton School of Discovery next Thursday.
