
TABOR CITY – Maycee Kinlaw pitched a 1-hitter and struck out 12 batters to lead Bladenboro to a 17-1 Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball victory Monday over Tabor City.
Coach Hayley Baxley’s Lady Bulldogs are 2-1 on the season and will host Nakina Wednesday.
Allison Hickman batted 2-for-5 with a double and 2 runs scored for the Lady Bulldogs who built a 12-1 lead after 3 innings. Bladenboro capitalized on 17 walks issued by Tabor City pitching.
Chloe Walters belted a single, walked 4 times and scored 5 runs for the winners. Kinlaw doubled, walked 4 times and scored 3 runs. Addison Wilcox singled, walked and was hit by a pitch. Hadley Dove slammed a double, walked twice and scored twice.
Caity McLaurin cracked a single, walked and scored a run. Liz Miller and Kylee Davenport both walked and scored runs. Kristen Singletary smacked a single, walked and scored a run. Alyssia Singletary walked twice and scored a run.
Malaysia slugged a 2nd inning home run for Tabor City.
