Bladen County stands ready to honor its Vietnam War Era Veterans and their surviving spouses in a poignant event organized by the Bladen County VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Chapter. Scheduled for Friday, March 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM, this commemoration promises to be a touching moment for both participants and attendees alike. Leon Grimes, Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist, expresses the significance of this occasion, inviting the public to join in celebrating the brave individuals who served during a pivotal period in American history.
Hosted on the Bladen Community College campus, the event will see each Vietnam-era Veteran or surviving spouse bestowed with a Vietnam War Veterans Commemorative Lapel Pin. Importantly, eligibility for this honor extends to all who served in the US Armed Forces during the Vietnam War era, regardless of deployment status. As Bladen County continues its tradition of honoring its veterans, this event stands as a heartfelt recognition of the sacrifices made during a defining chapter in our nation’s narrative.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the event this Friday, March 29, 2024, at Bladen Community College, 7418 NC Hwy 41 W in Dublin, NC.
