CLARKTON – Allison Hickman pitched a no-hitter and struck out 11 batters Tuesday to lead Bladenboro to a 20-1 Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball victory over Clarkton School of Discovery.

Hickman only walked 3 batters, while the Lady Bulldogs capitalized on 9 walks and 6 hit batters to go along with their 12 hits. Hickman led the Bladenboro hit parade batting a perfect 4-for-4 with a double and 3 runs scored. Teammate Maycee Kinlaw finished 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and 2 runs scored.

Giovanna Spaulding blasted a triple and scored 2 runs for the Lady Bulldogs. Hadley Dove singled, walked twice and scored a run. Karlee Gause singled, walked and scored a run. Diyari McKoy singled, walked and scored 2 runs. Chloe Walters walked, was hit by a pitch and scored twice.

Ashley Rivon walked twice and scored twice for Bladenboro. Hailii Andrews singled and scored twice. Lily Hester walked and scored. Cheyenne Reinhart was hit by a pitch and scored a run, and Kristin Singletary was twice hit by pitches and scored a run. Brooklynn McKee was also hit by a pitch.

Pitcher Zoie Durden walked and scored the Lady Blue Devil run. Durden and relief pitcher Nevaeh Brown struck out 1 Bladenboro batter each. Nadya Colon and Kynzlee Wood drew 1 walk each for CSD.

Coach Otis Evans’ Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-1 in league play and 4-1 overall and will host Tabor City Thursday. Clarkton, now 0-3 in the league and 0-4 overall, will travel to Williams Township Thursday.
