LAURINBURG – The Emereau Aviators defeated Christ the Cornerstone 21-3 Friday in middle school softball action. The game was stopped after 3 innings on the mercy rule.
Jenna Bryce pitched all 3 innings for Emereau and struck out 7 batters. “All of our girls did a great job hitting, getting those runs and working as a team in the field,” said the Emereau staff.
The Aviators dropped a scrimmage game to Elizabethtown Middle Tuesday. Wednesday Emereau and Wayne Preparatory School battled to a 13-13 tie for six innings, but a ten-run seventh inning rally carried Wayne Prep to a 23-14 victory.
