CLARKTON – Nakina defeated Clarkton School of Discovery 21-4 Thursday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball action.
Brenna Hester walloped a double and a triple and finished 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored to lead the Clarkton hitters. Pitcher Cabria Baldwin also batted 2-for-2 and scored a run.
Nadya Colon reached base and scored the other Lady Blue Devil run. Teammates Jahniya Reed and Shania Thurman also reached base for Clarkton.
The Lady Blue Devils will travel to Bladenboro Monday.
