WHITEVILLE– Whiteville Central defeated Elizabethtown 16-1 Tuesday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball action.
Ariel Cromartie reached base on an error and scored the Lady Cougar run in the 3rd inning. Hailey Bennett was hit by a pitch and reached on an error. Mariah Hall drew a walk.
Central scored 14 runs in the 1st 2 innings to claim the victory. The Lady Hornets capitalized on 11 walks, 6 hit batters and 3 hits.
Elizabethtown will visit Bladenboro Wednesday at 4 p.m.
