N.C. State and Spain won the Lil Knights basketball tournament Saturday at West Bladen High School.
The month-long program led by West Bladen boys’ basketball coach Travis Pait met each Saturday in January for instruction and games for two age groups.
N.C. State (pictured above) won the College Division tournament with an 18-7 win against Duke in the championship game.
N.C. State had finished in a three-way tie for first place with Duke and UNC with 2-1 records during the regular season.
Spain (pictured above) won the International Division tournament, edging Australia 22-20. Spain had knocked off regular season champion Canada 21-18 in Saturday’s semifinals.
