Devin Dove is excited to announce the release of his new album that will span over the next few months. Dove shared that he plans to release one song at a time, starting with the single “Can’t Get Enough” on January 1st, 2022.
Dove shared, “I named the album Yin-Yang because of all the various styles of music that will be featured. I love all types of music, so I wanted to make an album that showcases that.” After all nine songs have been released singularly, Dove will release the entire album altogether. He said, “Some of these songs I wrote as far back as 2015 and some I finished this year.”
“Can’t Get Enough” will be the first release. Dove stated, “It’s got a real old-school feel to it while maintaining a modern presence, which is something that I love to do and will be a theme throughout the record.”
Although he is young, Devin Dove has a long history with music. “I’ve been a full-time musician since I was 14 years old, and played with various groups including the Dove Brothers Quartet, Black Water Band, Summits Trace, and Southside Saints, to name a few.” He added, “I’ve also had the opportunity to back up a lot of incredible artists such as Jason Crabb, Gordon Mote, Eddie Floyd, Jimmy Hall, and Barbara Fairchild.”
The musician told BladenOnline that he plays a variety of instruments, and he enjoys being able to utilize those talents through making his own music. Lastly, he said, “I think people will enjoy the music, and hopefully it will do what I wrote them with the intention of doing, which was to make people feel good.”
In addition to his solo career, Dove is a member of “The Southside Saints” band, which has three upcoming live shows. On December 29th, the band will play at Local on the Water in North Myrtle Beach from 5:30 pm-9:30 pm. On December 30th, the band will play at 3001 Nightlife in Myrtle Beach from 9:00 pm-1:00 am. Lastly, on December 31st, they will play at Backyard Bar and Grill in Myrtle Beach from 9:00 pm-1:00 am.
Devin Dove’s new music will be available for streaming and downloading on all major platforms.
