Thoughts While ShavingOne more reminder, noontime today is the deadline for filing for the November municipal election.  Filing fee is $5, and if interested in adding your name to the ballot, you should visit Bladen County Board of Elections, behind the post office in Elizabethtown.

The British Open Golf Tournament is always interesting, gives us an opportunity to see some of the best golfers in the world playing some of the oldest courses.  William McGirt, Fairmont native, had a tough opening day, plus 7, needs a miracle today to continue play over the weekend.

Another hot day is in store for Bladen and surrounding areas, today….90+ temps expected.  Proceed with caution and lots of fluids.

Friends and family reflected recently on old farm equipment around, including horse drawn plows, etc.  Thank goodness, we no longer depend on them, and a shortage of mules and horses around to pull them.
