The impact of outdoor recreation on rural economies and a new North Carolina initiative will be the topic of next Chamber Breakfast Meeting.

The Elizabethtown – White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce will welcome outdoor and expert, Joe Miller, to their meeting on Tuesday, September 20 at 8AM. The breakfast meeting will be held at the Venue at Whimsical Florist, Joe Miller is an Ecotourism Consultant with Gov. Roy Cooper’s Hometown Strong initiative, tasked specifically with helping North Carolina’s rural communities nurture their recreational resources, especially trails. He brings to the position 30 years of related experience, as a newspaper adventure columnist and author of four outdoors books, and as a hiking and backpacking guide and instructor. Mr. Miller is familiar with trails in
Bladen County, often bringing groups of people to the area.

A breakfast buffet will be provided at a cost of $10. Members can register on the Chamber’s website through the Calendar of Event – look for the September 20th Member Meeting. All members were sent an invitation through e-mail as well.
