The Pork and Beats Festival is set to take place on November 5th and 6th this year. The BBQ and music event will be at Cape Fear Farmers Market in Elizabethtown, offering entertainment, food, vendors, classic cars, crafts, and more.
Elizabethtownnc.org says, “The Pork & Beats Festival is a 2-day celebration of the agricultural heritage of Elizabethtown and Bladen County. As the home to one of the largest pork processing plants in the country, Smithfield Foods, we invite you to taste the delicious barbeque from our world-class competitors while enjoying a variety of local music and vendors.”
The “Pork” portion of this event is the Barbecue competition. Competitors will receive a pig to prepare on Friday, and their work will be available to taste on Saturday. Competitors will submit a sample for a blind test to find out who the champion is.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the event, but will end on August 30th. Click here for more sponsorship information: pork-beats-festival-sponsor
