With prom right around the corner, students will shop for tuxedos and dresses for this formal event. In Elizabethtown, you can get “the best-priced tuxedos” at Leinwand’s. Ricky Leinwand owns the store; he stated they have been doing this for 88 years.
This year he has orders for tuxes from over 18 proms from surrounding counties. Leinwand noted, “We like to call ourselves the number one Southeastern North Carolina tux seller and renter.” Leinwand’s has a large variety of different colors, styles, and fits. According to Leinwand, they have a book where you can choose over 50 colors.
Customers can either rent or buy a tuxedo. The formal wear comes with a suit, vest, tie, shoes, and insurance. Students receive a discount on tux orders. Leinwand stated, “We have the best prices and selection around. It’s whatever the customer wants or needs.” Leinwand’s has already gotten over 100 orders and can take orders up to two days before the event.
Bladen Early College High School’s prom is on March 31st at Allen Brothers Club House. It starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 10 pm.
West Bladen High School’s prom is on April 7th at Lu Mil Vineyard from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
East Bladen High School’s prom is on April 21st at Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
