Tyreon Graham batted 2-3 and knocked in 3 runs to lead the Black to a 7-6 victory over the Grey Wednesday night in Bladen Recreation’s 13-14 Baseball action.

The Black trailed 2-1 when Parker Greene and Masion Brooks drew walks in the 4th inning and both sprinted home when Graham hammered a triple. Hunter Hester was hit by a pitch, and Coley Sasser walked before Andrew Musselwhite’s sacrifice scored Graham to put the Black ahead 4-2.

Andre Moore cracked a 2-out single and stole 2 bases in the 5th inning. Darius Williamson walked and stole 2 bases. Both Moore and Williamson scored. Britt Sasser walked, stole a base, moved up on a passed ball, and after Greene and Brooks walked, scored when Graham belted a single to pad the Black lead to 7-3.

Nolan Tatum reached base on an error and eventually scored on another error in the Grey 6th inning. D’marius Smith and Cole Butler drew walks and scored runs to trim the final margin to 7-6.

Britt Sasser struck out 8 batters in 4.1 innings on the mound to pick up the win. Hester struck out 4 batters in his 1.2 innings of work to claim the save.

Tatum pitched 3.1 innings for the Grey and struck out 5 batters. Natoren Corbett struck out 2 batters in his 1.2 innings of relief.

Smith drew a lead-off walk, and Cole Butler walloped a triple that scored Smith in the Grey 1st inning. Carson Gooden smacked a single that scored Butler for an early 2-0 lead.

The Black sliced the lead to 2-1 in the 2nd inning when Greene laced a single and came around to score on an error and a passed ball.

Smith walked and scooted home when Butler smashed another triple in the Grey 5th inning that closed the gap to 4-3. Butler slugged 2 triples to lead the Grey hitters, and Corbett ripped a single.
