Rosa Lee Leggett, age 95, of Lumberton, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017. She was born October 18, 1921 in Robeson County to the late Herbert and Ella Mae Shackelford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elton Leggett; and one daughter, Betty Faye Smith.
She is survived by her children: Louis Ray Leggett of Lumberton and Brenda Hall of Ammon; a step-daughter, Barbara Janet Taylor of Lumberton; one sister, Vivian Byerly of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren: Debra Berwick of Matthews, Dawn Hall-Brown of White Oak, Rebecca Scott of Raeford, and Jennifer Banfield of Ft. Bragg; and six great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, September 7, 2017, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017, at 4:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Sandy Saunders officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.
