REIDSVILLE – West Bladen senior Savannah Lee was defeated by Aiden Rooney of the Durham School of the Arts 7-5, 6-1 Monday in a Class 2A MidEast Regional tennis semi-final.
Lee then played Bartlett Yancey’s Kayleb Stephens in a consolation match for seeding purposes, and Stephens won 6-1, 6-2.
Lee, now 19-4 on the season, advances to Friday’s Class 2A State Championships at Cary Tennis Park as the No. 4 seed from the MidEast.
