SPARTANBURG, SC – South Carolina defeated North Carolina 24-0 Saturday in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. South Carolina’s stout defense limited North Carolina to only 49 yards of offense.
East Bladen’s Masion Brooks was a defensive lineman for the North Carolina team.
Rock Hill’s Matthew Wilson threw for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Sandlappers. Hough High punter Nolan Hauser averaged 42.7 yards on 12 punts and was named the North Carolina Offensive MVP.
Reagan High’s Landan Callahan was selected as the NC Defensive MVP after totaling 9 tackles and an interception.
