Over thirty years ago, Mike Moore (popularly known as “Big Moe”) began tinkering with the perfect barbecue sauce recipe in his kitchen. After some hard work and serious analysis, he created “the absolute perfect blend” – with just enough kick and just enough sweetness… and so Big Moe’s BBQ Sauce was born.
Now, more than thirty years later, Big Moe’s BBQ Sauce is sold in over thirty supermarkets and the number continues to grow along with the business and customers’ love for the sauce. From bottling in Big Moe’s kitchen to now being bottled at a major bottling company hundreds of packages at the time, this small business has certainly grown.
Although Big Moe is no longer here, his son Michael Moore (popularly known as “Little Moe”) carries on the family tradition and his father’s legacy. According to the family, “The only thing bigger than Big Moe’s dream for the future of his sauce was his heart and love for people. And that included his son, Little Moe, who now runs and operates the business.”
