Food and water were also available during the gathering. Collins stated he hopes to reach people and help them understand that we have to work together and figure out what we need to do to stop the violence and help our community be a better place.

He hopes the prayer meeting will lead to a round table discussion with leaders and community members. Pastors, ministers, doctors, citizens, and, most of all, the ones dealing with violence are all invited to attend.
Elizabethtown Police Department and Bladen County Sheriff’s Office were also on the scene to promote unity and peace.
