Penny Walters, representing the non-profit organization Boost the Boro, Inc., and serving as the chair for the Spring Fling, expressed her satisfaction with the event’s success. The event basked in perfect weather conditions and featured an array of five food vendors. It took place in the revitalized downtown Bladenboro on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, from 5 PM to 10 PM.

A highlight of this year’s Spring Fling was the live performance by Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot. Known for their dynamic stage presence and soul-stirring music, the band was a key attraction, drawing enthusiastic crowds. The event offered a delightful mix of delicious food from five different vendors, alongside a variety of activities tailored for both children and adults, marking the celebration as a standout success.

The event was graced with royal appearances. Tiny Miss Dublin Peanut Festival, Ayrabella Johnson along with other beauty queens joined the fun for the evening. This festive gathering is an eagerly anticipated tradition, held annually on the first Saturday of April.

Looking ahead, Walters encourages the community to participate in Boost the Boro, Inc.’s next significant event, the Beast Fest, scheduled for the last Friday and Saturday of October this year. Walters promises, “It’s going to be a blast!”
