FUQUAY-VARINA –The Bladen County All-Stars dropped their first 2 games in the State-Wide Activities Committee (SWAC) 10-and-Under Girls Soccer state tournament Saturday.
Bladen County lost their opening game 6-0 to the Nash County Strikers. Later in the day Fuquay-Varina defeated Bladen County 3-1. Racquel Whittington knocked in the Bladen goal against Fuquay-Varina.
Bladen County will play the Nash County Comets Sunday at 11 a.m. in their final game in bracket play. The top 2 finishers from round-robin play advance to Sunday’s 2 p.m. championship game.
