Each year the Junior Beta Competition measures students’ talents and academic abilities through competitions. Judges rank the competitions ranging from first to fifth place. The students will compete with other students across North Carolina.
Tar Heel students participate in numerous competitions. Jonny Basilio and Alyssa Hambridge won 4th place Elementary Recyclable Art and Photograph.
Yareli Vazquez won 5th place in Elementary Fiber Art. While 5th place Elementary Book Battle was taken by, Alyssa Ham bridge, Rut Velasco Garcia, and Genesis Fernandez-Villafuerte.
Nicholas Musselwhite and Ahdaren Toney both competed in Math competitions. Nicholas Musselwhite places 4th in 5th grade Math. Ahdaren Toney places 5th in 7th grade Math.
The competitions built confidence and skill. Tar Heel students represented their school with high integrity.
