The Harvesters will perform Sunday, June 2 at Sandy Grove Baptist Church located at 8299 NC 242 South in Bladenboro. The concert is free. An offering will be taken for the group.
The Harvesters Quartet is a southern gospel group from North Carolina. Group members are Tommy Young (tenor), Danny Parker (lead), Allen Hunter (baritone) and Mark Hoggard (bass).
The Harvesters’ Quartet was organized in 1953, in Charlotte, according to the group’s web site. The original members were Pat Patterson, Bill Hefner, Buddy Parker, Hershel Wooten and David Reece.
Personnel has changed over the years, but the group has always worked to maintain the sincerity and dedication handed down to them, never forgetting their responsibility to their God and their friends, it reads on their site.
