Retirement is a tough adjustment… but better than the alternative.After 20 years at WBLA radio station in the 70’s and 80’s, I departed the scene… traveled the state with a statewide organization for 25 years…retired…began BladenOnline and worked for another 7 years. Each time I departed the scene, guess I thought the agency would cease to operate… fold up… go away. Oh, yes…served 8 years as a County Commissioner. All continue and appear to be doing well… “Crap”…my departure made no difference, maybe assisted their growth.
So I slip away and adjust… and I can do it.
If you like hot weather… you should enjoy the next few days… 90 plus, maybe 100 degrees. Heed the warnings.

Bladenboro town commissioners have had a surprise… The total value of the town has dropped substantially when final revaluation numbers were made available… Another Public Hearing on the proposed 2015-16 budget is set for Monday at 7 p.m.
