Politics is a game for far to many elected officials, both parties and we (taxpayers) foot the bill. Latest example, the shenanigans underway in Raleigh. This time the Republicans, Dem’s have had their time in the spotlight over the years. Both parties have spend millions in legal fees to defend bad, impartial, unfair legislation and here we go again.
Just go home. A few mean-spirited leaders and no one with enough guts to stand up to them. Come on, do unto others as you would have them do to you. (or us the taxpayers) Some civics lesson for our young folks.
At the national level, maybe a bigger problem, intervention by a foreign government in our presidential election process. I don’t know if it is true, but it is a concern. What is next?
At home, our newly elected county commissioners will take their oath of office Monday and begin their new job of governing in Bladen, if all goes according to plan. Congratulations to all.
And Yahoo users apparently have had their personal information stolen by someone. Cyber attacks are serious problems for Internet users.
Some of our politicians from ‘days gone by’ were accused of trading a ‘shot’ of moonshine for a vote, times have changed and not for the better.
Think back to quotes by the late Nikita Khrushchev, Soviet Union premier, many years ago about the USA.
