I enjoy holidays, but resuming a normal routine schedule is not bad.

Today is June 1, our elected Board of Commissioners will likely complete work on the 2021-2022 budget in a few days, hold a hearing, approve and we should receive a tax bill in the next couple of months … Despite huge payments on recently constructed jail, I would be surprised if there will be a tax rate increase … just a guess … no inside info.
US 701 bridge over the Cape Fear River appears to be progressing … I couldn’t work on the project … I do not like heights and can’t swim…
Summer doesn’t begin for another 3 weeks or so (June 20), but White Lake traffic is ‘picking up’ … good for all involved with updates…
