Thoughts While Shaving for June 1

Spread the love

I enjoy holidays, but resuming a normal routine schedule is not bad.

Big weekend, met the newest member of the Hester family … our first great-grand-daughter … Allie Hester … She is a cutie pie…

It’s Tuesday … short work week…

We have a pretty good chance of rain later this week…

Today’s weather forecast, sunny, with a high near 83 … Tonight, partly cloudy, with a low around 63 … Looking ahead to Wednesday, a 60% chance of rain, 30% Wednesday night, 70% Thursday, 60% Thursday night … and on and on. Should receive much needed rain this week.

Today is June 1, our elected Board of Commissioners will likely complete work on the 2021-2022 budget in a few days, hold a hearing, approve and we should receive a tax bill in the next couple of months … Despite huge payments on recently constructed jail, I would be surprised if there will be a tax rate increase … just a guess … no inside info.

US 701 bridge over the Cape Fear River appears to be progressing … I couldn’t work on the project … I do not like heights and can’t swim…

Summer doesn’t begin for another 3 weeks or so (June 20), but White Lake traffic is ‘picking up’ … good for all involved with updates…

Can’t believe I have had so many birthdays … but blessed … No, no birthday now … just thinking out loud … My birthday is much later in the year…
