Time to bring out the ‘long johns’ and heavy jackets. Winter-type weather arrives today … Nice this AM … low 60s, dropping to low 40s mid to late afternoon and continues to fall into the mid 20s overnight. … Windy, gusts up to 20 mph and rain … 100% chance of rain after about 10 AM … rainfall totals could be between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.

Remember as a youngster, too young to drive … dad was working and as the oldest of 6, my assignment was to have enough wood available to keep us warm. … A cross cut saw, an ax and younger brothers. … A warm day was welcomed. … I ‘put it off’ as long as I could … just made sure to have it done before dad came home. … Don’t miss those days.

Bottom line, be ye also ready … cold weather is on the way.

In NFL action last night, 49ers lost in overtime to Seahawks … 27-24.
