Thoughts While ShavingCongratulations to the 2016 winners of our final political process this election season.  When the celebrations are over for the winners and concessions by those who lost, time to move on and ‘make this nation great again.’

Were you surprised?  I thought it would be close from top to bottom, we are a divided nation.

Thanks to all the candidates, winners and losers.  It takes all to have an exchange of ideas so the public can select, who they believe to be, the best person for the job.

If you are looking for a new profession, might want to consider being a political pollster.  About 90% of the current ones should be looking for a new job.

I looked back to Monday’s polls.  I Googled ‘Presidential Polls’ and discovered between 45 to 50.  10 predicted Donald Trump would be the winner.  There was 1 tie in the group.  80% of those I saw had Clinton as the winner.  These were supposedly our nations best, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, Bloomberg, Monmouth, Reuters, Rasmussen Reports, Quinnipiac, Emerson and on and on.  Some I never heard of, but all professing professional pollsters.

So where do we go from here?

For all, we need a coming together, a healing process, pick up the pieces and move on.

There were so many close elections at the state level and there will no doubt be recounts, possibly challenges.  Let’s get all that behind us, attempt to unite, as best we can and make Bladen County, North Carolina and the USA, the best it can be.   I know, easier said than done.

Thanks goodness, no political ads today.

My wish for the future: better candidates, especially for the top job in the nation, tone down the rhetoric, talk about issues, not personalities.
