A trio of Bladen County Recreation All-Star teams will compete in the State-Wide Athletic Committee (SWAC) Soccer tournaments in Hickory. Bladen County is sending a 14-Under Boys team, a 10-Under Boys team and a 10-Under Girls team.
The 14U Boys team members are Gabe Barber, Joseph Masaid, Sam Inscoe, Nicholas Hester, Sulaiman Algozy, Ebrahim Algozy, Micah McKoy, Jackson Bostic, Garrett Melvin, Jacob Priest, Will Hester, Harrison DeVane, Jake Evans, Reid Potter, Jay McGill, Garett Masaid. Head coach is Mike Potter. Their first game is at 10:00 am Saturday.
The 10U Boys team members are Sidney Armitage, Jake Futrell, Elijah Cain, Jaime Delgado, Martin Rojas, Matthew McKoy, Shandell Gonzales, Erik Izquierdo-Hidalgo, John Reyes Garcia, Chace Butler, I’Keir Murchison, Trey Marshburn, III. Head coach is Mercedes Rojas. Their first game is at 1:00 pm Saturday.
The 10U Girls team members are Lilly Davis, Sophia Masaid, Ashlyn Williams, Cydney Campbell, Heather Hardin, Molly Evans, Karla Dimas-Lopez, Eva Camila Ayala Martinez, Lainey Autry, Hannah Davis. Head coach is Josh Schultz. Their first game is at 11:00 am Saturday.
The tournament is being held at the Henry Fork River Regional Recreation Soccer Complex. It is located at 5655 Sweet Bay Lane in Hickory.
