The sun was blazing yesterday, Thursday, May 3, at the UNC Pembroke Track field. However, Bladen County athletes did not let that stop them from competing well.
West Bladen Men and East Bladen women both finished third place in the conference.

Event winners from East Bladen included: junior Alicia McKiver in the girls 400 meter dash and the girls 4×400 meter relay team of Rachel Hurrell, Teronda Autry, Aaniya Jackson, Alicia McKiver, Gemizha Stephens and Anette Munoz-Ventura.
West Bladen event winners were junior Davian Willis-Howard in the boys 110 meter hurdles and sophmore Tinyauh Rhoda in the girls 200 meter dash.
