In Thursday’s middle school softball scrimmage at Tar Heel, Bladenboro’s Rylee Chadwick blasted a home run and batted 2-2 with 3 runs scored.
Chadwick also pitched a scoreless first inning with one strike-out and one walk. Mackenzie Singletary pitched the final 3 innings for the Lady Bulldogs, striking out seven and allowing 3 hits and a walk.
Singletary batted 2-3 with a run scored. Teammate Lauren Pait walloped a triple and batted 2-3 with a run scored. Kaden Thurman also finished 2-3 at the plate with a run scored.
Lainey Autry slammed a double and scored twice. Teammate Hannah Pait ripped a double and scored a run for the Lady Bulldogs. Savannah Turbeville and Taylor Lewis connected for one hit each.
Turbeville scored 3 runs, and Megan West, Lewis, Kolee Wilkins and Whitney McLean scored one run each.
Gracie Register pitched 3 innings for Tar Heel. Register, Madilyn and Kylie smacked one hit each for Tar Heel.
