FAIRMONT – West Bladen boys and girls both finished second in a three-team Three Rivers Conference track and field meet Thursday.

In the girls meet South Robeson edged West Bladen 114.5 points to 113 points. Fairmont was third with 86.5 points. Fairmont won the boys meet with 182.5 points. West Bladen was second with 123.5 points, and South Robeson tallied 67 points.

Event winners for the West Bladen boys were junior Tyre Boykin in the triple jump (41-01), Davion Willis-Howard in the 110 meter hurdles (17.81) and the 4×400 meter relay team (4:47).

Winning events for the West Bladen girls were: Alyssa Bell in the 800 meters (3:26), Hannah Bobby in the 1600 meters (8:48), Tinyauh Rhoda in the 200 meters (27.47), Nykia Blackwell in the 100 meter hurdles (22.06) and the 4×400 meter relay team (6:29.18).

Second-place finishers for the Knight boys included: Tyre Boykin in the 100 meters (11.01) and the 200 meters (22.97), Jacob Bryan  in the1600 meters (5:47), Andrew AJ Brown in the long jump (18-01) and the 4×100 meter relay (47.5).

Acquiring second place points for the Lady Knights were: Sierra Mullis in the 800 meters (3:31), J. Melvin in the shot put (24-10),  Maleah Walker in the 1600 meters (8:51), Alyssa Bell in the 400 meters (1:15.8) and Tinyauh Rhoda in the long jump (13-11).

Posting third place finishes for the Knight boys were: Donovan Stone in the 110 meter hurdles (20.34), Nathaniel Davis in the 1600 meters (6:03) and Javonta Matthews in the 400 meters (1:02.30).

Sabrina Johnson finished fourth in the 400 meters (1:28.59) for the Lady Knights. Recording fifth-place points were: Tinyauh Rhoda in the 100 meters (13.33) and Maleah Walker in the 800 meters (3:45).

Scoring fourth-place points for the West boys were: Abdul Taylor in the 110 meter hurdles (20.69), Nathaniel Davis in the 800 meters (2:36) and Andrew A. J. Brown in the 200 meters (23.53).

Turning in fifth-place finishes for the Knights were: Kerron Washington in the 100 meters (11.94), Jadacus Register in the discus (79-11), Zaidarius McKenzie in the 110 meter hurdles (21.75), Jerry Kericus in the 400 meters (1:09) and Shyron Adams in the 200 meters (25.06).

Sixth-place points for the Knight boys were scored by Damarius Robinson in the discus (76-01), Jacob Bryan in the 800 meters (2:40), Lee Roberts in the shot put (34-00), Ricky Brisson in the 400 meters (1:12) and Donovan Stone in the long jump (16-02).

Sixth-place finishes for the Lady Knights were recorded by: Ramonia Whitaker in the shot put (23-0) and Nykia Blackwell in the 200 meters (31.0). Hannah Bobby placed seventh in the 800 meters (3:49).

Gabriel Cruz placed seventh in the 1600 meters (7:08) for the Knight boys, and eighth-place finishes were turned in by Jeremiah Payton in the 100 meters (12.2) and Albert Polanco in the shot put (33-05).

Eighth-place finishes for the Lady Knights were posted by Kiance Morrisey in the discus (38-02) and Victory Crawford in the 200 meters (31.58).

The Knights will travel to St. Pauls Thursday.
