A staff report

In the aftermath of recent storms, heavy rainfall, and subsequent flooding, Turnbull Creek Educational State Forest officials have taken precautionary measures to ensure visitor safety. Effective 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, a trail closure and detour advisory have been implemented.

Turnbull Creek Trail (1/4 mile) is temporarily closed until further notice due to the impact of adverse weather conditions.

To navigate around the closure, a detour has been established for Duncan Trail (4 miles). This detour strategically avoids forest areas flanking Turnbull Creek, offering an alternative route for forest enthusiasts.

While exploring the forest, visitors are urged to exercise caution and remain vigilant of wet conditions, potential trail obstructions such as downed trees, and other hazards that may have resulted from the recent storms.
