MYRTLE BEACH,SC – Tar Heel native Trevor Lesane slugged a home run and two doubles as Erskine pounded the College of Staten Island 16-2 and 22-1 Monday in a non-conference doubleheader.

Lesane reached base on an error in the second inning of the opener then stole third base and dashed home on Jaisen Randolph’s sacrifice fly for a 3-0 Erskine lead. The senior outfielder hammered a double to left-center field to drive in a run in the third inning then scored on Randolph’s three-run homer.

The West Bladen grad walloped a solo home run to left field in the fourth inning. In the sixth inning Lesane yanked a single to left and raced home on another Randolph single.

Lesane finished 3-for-4 at the plate in the opener with a home run, a double, a stolen base, four runs scored and two runs batted in.

Lesane smashed a double to left field in the fifth inning of the nightcap and scored on Cal Bochino’s single.

The Flying Fleet, now 12-8, were rained out Wednesday, but open a Conference Carolinas series against Southern Wesleyan in Central, SC, Friday at 4 p.m.
