Spread the love

As we are in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, let’s remember our local merchants who offer handmade, homegrown, quality goods and products to our local communities. Elizabethtown and Bladenboro both have Farmers Markets that house products made by local merchants, and they are great places for last-minute Christmas shopping.

Tomorrow – Saturday, December 18th – Cape Fear Farmers Market in Elizabethtown will host a “Last Minute Christmas Shopping Event.” As part of the 30 Days of Celebration, launched by the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, activities at the Farmers Market have taken place on the four Saturdays leading up to Christmas. Local merchants were given the opportunity to have a vendor spot at a discounted price for this special event.

With local merchants set up throughout, and neighboring businesses Burney’s Sweets and More and Barefoot Sandwich Shop, Cape Fear Farmers Market is a prime location to stop and shop, and is within walking distance of many other boutiques, shops, and restaurants in Elizabethtown.

Bladenboro Farmers Market houses local jams and jellies, honey and cider, handmade home decor including wreaths, signs, and more, t-shirts, homemade baked goods, and the list goes on. Tomorrow, in addition to the usual merchandise, the Bladenboro Farmers Market will have cakes, pies, fudge, and more.

Like Elizabethtown Farmers Market, Bladenboro Farmers Market is also within walking distance of various other businesses and restaurants.
