ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen defeated South Robeson 3-1 Monday night in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-18 and 25-17.
Jozee Strickland sparked the Lady Eagles to the first set victory with service runs of 5 straight points then served out the set with a 3-point run.
Sarah Johnson reeled off 7 consecutive service points as the Lady Eagles jumped in front in Set 3. Strickland added 3 more service points in the set.
Senior Hannah Devane blew open the final set with a 9-point service run that opened up a 20-13 Lady Eagle lead.
Sarah Johnson topped the East Bladen servers with 15 service points, followed closely by Strickland with 14 service points. Devane totaled 12 service points.
Junior Ashley Hardin fired in 9 service points, and senior Kaley Smith finished with 5 service points. Sophmore Gracyn Martin added 3 service points.
