LAKE WACCAMAW – East Columbus rallied to win the final three sets and handed West Bladen their first loss of the season 3-1 Thursday night in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 25-17 and 25-15.

“The girls did not play up to their potential,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “Senior Callie Lewis played a solid game. We all have an off night and this was ours. We had 20 service errors. You cannot spot a team 20 free points and be successful. We have to improve our serving. We will regroup and hit it hard on Tuesday night.”

Senior Raegan Davis filled up the stat sheet with 13 kills, 13 assists, 10 service points, 6 aces and a solo block. Junior Jordan Benson delivered 10 assists and 4 service points.

Sophmore Sidnee Walters hammered in 5 kills, an ace and 4 service points. Junior Mikayla Meadows pounded in 8 kills and 2 service points. Junior Lexi Corrothers slammed in 5 kills and 2 service points.

Sophmore Shelby Pharr drilled in 2 kills and 4 service points. Senior Caroline Davis finished 3 digs and a kill. Lewis knocked in 2 kills, and junior Tatiana Hunt added one service point.

The Lady Knights, now 2-1 in league play and 3-1 overall, will host South Robeson Tuesday.
