DUNN – Midway defeated East Bladen 3-0 on Monday night in non-conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-11, 25-23 and 25-9.
Junior Katie Evans dished out 6 assists and had 3 digs and 3 service points for the Lady Eagles. Junior Kayleigh Raynor slammed in 2 aces, 3 service points, a kill and had 2 digs.
Junior Cheylee Mathis pounded in 2 kills, an ace, a block and 3 service points for East Bladen. Freshman Acee Campbell hammered in 3 kills and a service point. Senior Cybil Campbell smacked in 4 service points, a block and 2 digs.
Senior Ruth Ward led the Lady Eagle defense with 4 digs. Lila McDuffie finished with 3 digs. Junior Sara Gargala tallied 2 service points, and senior Lorna Mendell knocked in 2 blocks.
