DUNN – Midway defeated West Bladen 3-0 Thursday night in Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-6, 25-13 and 25-12.
Sophomore Trinity Meares slammed in 3 kills and 5 blocks to lead the Lady Knight attack. Junior Makayla Wright hammered in 4 kills and a service point. Junior Whitney McLean pounded in 3 kills and a block.
Sophomore Jenna McLean and junior Catherine Dowless fired in 3 service points each for West Bladen. Junior Emily Young knocked in 3 blocks, a service point and had 1 assist. Senior Kayla Norris drilled in 2 kills, and senior Caroline Brisson added a service point and a dig.
West Bladen, now 1-3 in league play and 2-5 overall, will host Lakewood Monday at 4:30.
